The Carlisne's  Monarchy

The principality is a constitutional monarchy in which powers are limited by a constitution or fundamental laws.

However, the monarchy is deeply rooted in the hearts and minds of the Carlisians.

Society’s relationship with the monarchy is strong and profound, anchored by centuries of history.

One could almost speak of a symbiosis between them.

The duke and duchess

 The Duke and Duchess holds the highest rank in the noble hierarchy, just below the Prince and immediately above the Marquis.

The Carlisian monarchy currently has only one duke, Duke, His Grace Arnik Kiranov and none Duchess.

Arnick Kiranov is a prominent person who holds several important positions. He serves as a prominent international military and diplomatic career.  He is also the Chancellor of the Principality.

He is in the direct line of succession and will become Prince and Duke of Carlsine in October 2026.

His enthronement has been planned for several years by the clergy, in the deepest respect for the tradition and wishes of the last Prince of Carlisne.

His enthronement is eagerly awaited by all the nobility and people of the principality.

The actual duke has numerous concubines, but the children born of these unions have no claim to the succession.

however, they may receive the title of "little Prince" or "little Duke."

If he were to marry, his wife would become a Duchess, and their child would then be in the direct line of succession to the throne.

Rumors hinted at a union with the Marquise de Lestat, but nothing was ever truly made official.

 

Note: He is addressed as "Your Grace." ( work with Duke and Duchess)

After the initial introduction, he may simply be called "Duke," or "Lord" followed by his territorial designation, depending on the context.

The marquess and marchioness

The Marquess or Marchioness holds the fourth rank in the nobility, positioned just below a Duke and just above a Count.

The title denotes a noble who also serves as a military governor responsible for defending the marche .

It is the frontier provinces of a kingdom. They have the authority to raise an army without awaiting royal orders, enabling a rapid response to invasions.

The principality currently has only one Marchioness , The Most Honourable Mǟʀɨʟʏռɛ Lɛֆȶǟȶ.

 

Addressing a Marquis or Marchioness:
Formal style: The Most Honourable


Spoken address:

"My Lord"/ "My Lady" or "Your Lordship"/"Your Ladyship"

Female equivalent: Marchioness.

The count and Countess

Count is a title of nobility situated in the hierarchy between the viscount (below) and the Marquess or Duke (above).

The feminine form of this title is Countess.

He administers a territory :

the county, but unlike a Marquis or a Duke,  he does not have the power to raise an army without his sovereign's order.

The Principality has many Counts and Countess:

 

To address an earl or count in English, one generally uses "Lord" followed by their surname or title.
In spoken (face-to-face) situations:

First very formal meeting: Say "My Lord" or "Your Lordship".

Everyday conversation: Say "Lord" followed by the name 

To address a countess the most formal and correct spoken forms of address are "Your Ladyship" or "My Lady."
the initial very formal greeting is "Your Ladyship" or "My Lady"
During the conversation, you may continue to use "My Lady" or address her by her title.

The Baron and Baronness

 The Baron stands at the very bottom of the noble hierarchy and holds a smaller domain.

The title of Baron is granted on a hereditary basis by princely decree, without the requirement of a feudal holding or corresponding land.
It serves to reward military or civil merit in the service of the State.

 

the Baron and Baroness of Carlisne are:
 

 

One addresses a baron or baroness using the titles "Lord" and "Lady," followed by their title or surname.

The words "baron" or "baroness" are rarely used in everyday conversation.

 

((OOC As defined, the title of Baron may be awarded in recognition of service to the Crown of Carlisne.

There is another option, somewhat similar to the title of Count for those with a premium subscription with the "Premium House" (which would then become their barony).
